Casual. Contemporary. American. Chef/Owner John des Rosiers' vision comes to life at Inovasi with its relaxed setting and world class cuisine located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago in Lake Bluff.

Born and raised in Waukegan and spending most of my career north of Chicago, I wanted to build a new kind of restaurant for the North Shore.

Inovasi is casual, contemporary, american. What that means to me is a relaxing restaurant where servers wear jeans and collared shirts, but with world class food served in an interesting way full of flavor and surprises.

I use local and sustainable farms...

Inovasi Restaurant Review

Unless you live on the North Shore, this gem of a joint is a haul to get to. Mind you, it’s worth the trek. Soothing blue walls, bright light filtering in through oversize windows and glass partitions make the dining room and adjacent bar feel neighborhood-cozy, a fact that extends to the menu, where kids’ items are intentionally not dumbed down. There’s much to love about the grownup stuff...

Clever, shareable and sustainable dishes in Lake Bluff.

The market-fresh small plates trend is great, but leaving hungry and broke isn't. Enter this north suburban Lake Bluff restaurant that primarily focuses on sustainably farmed local ingredients in...

We've gone to Inovasi countless times over the past few years, but tonight was the first time we tried the burgers -- they're absolutely awesome! We'll be adding them to our list of things we like to get there :)

Rude server. Ordered two bottles of wine and she acted annoyed with us the whole time when she was asked questions about things. Great food but unlikely to return because the service made us feel uncomfortable

Great food! I loved the beet salad as well as my pasta dish. My boyfriend got the short rib and it was delicious - I was jealous of his! My mom got the trout which looked good and my dad liked the chicken. Our desserts were amazing; the espresso brownie was delicious even for non coffee lovers. I was also surprised how much I loved the banana bread pudding. I would recommend inovasi to anyone!

Business description (4)

Inovasi is a contemporary american restaurant that blurs the lines between casual and upscale dining. We believe in a natural harmony and honesty in every dish we prepare and work with local farms in our community to hand-select the freshest of sustainable ingredients to be used at our restaurant. Our wish is for you to walk through our door and experience the uncompromised quality of these...

Margot's is located at 65 E Scranton Ave, Lake Bluff, IL. This business specializes in Beauty Salons.

Casual Contemporary American

Inovasi is a great restaurant serving some great food. The chef not only shows off his cooking talent, but also creatively plates up his creation. The staff is always polite, and patiently assists in selection. The beer and wine list has a good selection too. Overall, a good experience here. Dinner timings are Monday to Saturday, 5p onwards.

Tips about this business (4)

What to Drink

The extensive, affordable wine list boasts nearly 20 by-the-glass options, all less than $10, and plenty of bottles under the $30 mark. A lighter red, like the Moo Buzz Pinot Noir would navigate many of the dishes well.

Fun Fact

The signature dish, Jackson Pollock’s walleye pike, references the famous abstract painter and is served on a real painter's canvas board splashed with four different colorful (and flavorful) sauces.

Know Before You Go

Closing time varies from night to night, depending on the volume of business and private parties. If you're planning to go on the later side of the evening, call ahead.

Where to Sit

The dining room is broken up into three semi-distinct spaces, the smallest of which contains a flagstone fireplace. Ask your server about the significance of the Teddy Roosevelt portrait that hangs above it, and you'll come away with a greater understanding of the restaurant's culinary philosophy.
