Stayed here one night when in town for school. I was staying with two others, who got there before me and did not want to not check in because they didn't have a reservation elsewhere and they didn't want to loose me. Told by the cops to not stay here

After our first of a three night stay here, the cops told us this hotel is in a ""hot zone"" and we should just cut our losses and move to another hotel. Some people actually live at this hotel and the cops were there at 11am on a domestic dispute call. There is a lot of dr*g and pr*stitution that goes on in the bar that is in the lobby of the hotel. With that being said, we really didn't run into any problems with our room, other than the maid service was real bad. We never didn't feel safe, nothing was stolen from our room or our car, and it was pretty clean and quiet. I don't know...

Exterior of hotel was peeling and rotted, room was dark dingy carpets dirty, bed spreads were torn and stained. Bathroom was disgusting had to go out and by soap scum cleaner and shower shoes before we would stand in it. If we could have found another place to stay we would have left. ...

The price (which is what I was choosing on) was good. The lobby would have benefited from a bit of freshening up and the elevator definitely needed a cleaning (or replacement) of the carpet. We were disappointed that "Arthur's", the restaurant and supposedly nightclub was apparently closed. The door was open but the tables had not been made up and there was no one in the space--a bit eerie....
