Everything was so fresh and expertly prepared--scallops, oysters, bouillabaisse were delicious. The sourdough bread made me want to cry it was so good; I'm gluten intolerant but splurged on this night. My dessert was the chocolate cake with a rose whipped cream that was a perfect complement. The historical building and professional staff made for a wonderful, memorable evening.
The food was delicious and presented very tastefully and attractively. The setting was lovely and the waitress was well informed.
We ate outdoors at a table closest to the water. Highlight of our evening was a bald eagle flying overhead. First time we've seen one in the wild.
The lamb had no lamb flavor and the cabbage overpowered it. My chicken was moist as promised. Clams were ok, but not great.
Freshest ingredients, masterfully prepared, every dish a work of art. Exceptional service. And a beautiful setting, high over the water. Stroll the grounds, admire the attention to detail everywhere you look.
Service was terrific. We actually arrived before they opened the restaurant, staff was friendly,...we walked out back overlooking the bay watching birds (including bald eagles) soar all around us. The food was fresh and delicious. Afterward we admired their beautiful, extensive gardens on our way back to our car.
