We were married at the Inn at Salgado, so it holds a special place for us. This trip was our first since it changed owners, and while we miss Rob, the Inn is just as wonderful as it's always been. Clean, beautiful grounds, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. We could not love the Inn at Salado more!
The Inn at Salado is an absolutely perfect place to stay! Great location right in the heart of town, super friendly staff, a delicious hot breakfast (waffles, HOMEMADE quiche, hot fluffy biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit ... yummy!), and a very comfy bed with lots of pillows. Stayed at the Baylor House for our 15th wedding anniversary. Very cute, the addition of a few amenities and upgraded decor would definitely improve the experience. The breakfasts were great and they accommodated my no-meat diet. The room and whole place was very clean and neat. I loved the oldness of the place -- history, nostalgia. Don't expect it to be a Holiday Inn or other Hotel. It is a nice bed and breakfast in an interesting town with lots of art in the town.
