I was forewarned by other comments but needed a cheap place to stay for a night. Bed was hard as a rock. Tub had been reglazed and it was failing. It was clean, looked really bad. Carpets worn everywhere. Basement garage scary. Half of its lights inoperative. Stairwell smelled like the elevator's oily mechanical room, very dingy. Slow, tiny elevator. I stayed at the Days Inn Downtown for a night in November 2002. Rooms are clean - as usual in those big chain motels - and they offer complimentary continental breakfast.
