Booth Theater, the charming little theater, located between Broadway and 8th Avenue, was built in the memory of Edwin Booth. It opened in 1913 with a collection of his memorabilia and has a seating capacity of 791 to 810. Make a date to visit the theater and grab a meal at one of the restaurants in the vicinity.

Editorial reviews from the web (1)

From the moment Calvin Coolidge turned on the floodlights opening night, theater-goers knew there was something special about the elegant about the August Wilson Theatre (formerly known as the Virginia Theatre). The large Virginia Theatre… Read More

saw Oh Hello at the Lyceum Thanksgiving week.
a few laughs. some funny inside NY/Broadway/UWS stuff - but really not that good. The plot was not well developed or interesting. I didn't care about them as characters. Some of the story line absurdities were just not funny (sex with a racoon?) Not worthy of Broadway - would've been better suited...

Hard to believe this theater is still standing

This is an OLD theater in the Broadway district and it shows. My friends and I saw, "Oh Hello," here and sat in the upper balcony. (Side note, absolutely HYSTERICAL show. Go see it.) First of all, when you go down to your seat, you basically feel like you are just going to tumble down and pitch over the side....

Beautiful Intimate Theatre, "Oh, Hello

This theatre was built in 1903, owned by the Shubert Organization. There are really no bad seats in this very old, but beautiful theatre. "Oh, Hello" was a two man show, starting Nick Kroll and John Mulaney. They perform as two crotchety old men who are very funny. You will laugh throughout the show. They also have a surprise guest...

Decent View, Even From Upper Balcony

We attended the one-man show "Fully Committed" with Jesse Tyler Ferguson. However, our review reflects the theater alone, not the show. Despite getting some of the cheaper tickets in the house, the view was satisfactory and no blockage of sight lines. Our seats were in the center of the second to last row of the upper balcony. The bathrooms were...

Oh, Hello! from the Balcony

My friend and I got RUSH tickets for Oh, Hello! the funniest damn show to ever grace that stage, I can assure you. For the $37 RUSH price, we got balcony seats with an "obstructed view" in row B, seats 24 and 22. Upon arriving at our seats, I saw our view was only "obstructing" about 10 inches of stage...

This 100-year old building is the oldest theater on Broadway, and is considered one of the most beautiful. Built in 1903, its soaring columns and penthouse windows are magnificent. With a seating capacity for 925 people, it is relatively smaller than the other Broadway theaters. However, it has hosted some of the greatest artists from around the globe.
