I'm always hearing/read ing about some former "Friends" star eating here, so I kinda wanted to know what all the hype was about. (This restaurant must pay the tabloids or something.) This was just a wonderful dinner on every level. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was nice without being stuffy and the food incredible. We went on a Friday at 5:45 without a reservation and were able to get in just fine.
Went to IL Sole on a Saturday with a 6:30pm reservation. We were taken promptly to our table in the "wine room" section of the restaurant, right by the window. Atmosphere is very cozy. Tonight I went to Il sole again, but this time very disappointed.
The food was decent, our waiter was good, but the night was spoiled from the very beginning due to the rude, snotty hostesses who think they are just too good.
No greeting, no manners, just walked us to the table and said she needed it back in an hour.
