One of those amazing "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants, Ichiban is delicious and affordable with portions the size of any expensive Japanese restaurant.
(I highly recommend the chirashi! )

Go to Ichiban Noodles for a place that concentrates on authentic Japanese cooking where patrons tend to favor sushi. Expect the average entrée to cost in the range of $8 to $12, and go dressed casual.

Atmosphere: The lighting is moderate. The place is small with seating for 40 people, and is bright and cheerful. Table talk is no problem - noise level here is moderate.
