In Short This swank hotel's dining room glows with warm light cast by tabletop candles and honey-colored wood panels. Black-clad servers graciously attend to enamored couples, business diners and political types. Though a variety of meat selections are offered, Breeze prides itself on seafood, particularly its raw bar. Highlights include golden-fried, puffy crab cakes, seared diver... more

The Century Plaza is a cool looking building, filled with great amenities and charm. A lavish pool area and spa, immense event space, a great bar and very centrally located to LA. When the price is not exorbitant, it’s the best deal in town. They know what they’re doing there.

Pros

+ Location, pool, event space

Given a credit card with no limit, I could absolutely crazy in K Baby - this little boutique is filled with wall-to-wall sweetness. There are adorable layettes and clothes for baby boys and girls up to toddler sizes, as well as nursery decor, bath and body products and baby gifts. Many of the items are handmade and unique to this store, and everything is absolutely gorgeous.

The Century Plaza and Spa is a little pricey for those of you that aren't starwood hotel members. If your a member though you can usually get rooms here for almost half the price. The hotel is right smack dab on the avenue of the stars. Its close to UCLA if your in town visiting people at the college and its far from the beach or beverly hills.
