It's been said that the French Quarter begins in the lobby of the Hotel Monteleone. In fact, this venerable establishment sits majestically at the foot of Royal Street. giving guests the best point of departure for all things New Orleans. Visitors need only step outside this French Quarter hotel to discover shop after shop of fabulous European antiques, estate jewelry, Oriental rugs, and art and antiquities from around the world. Quaint restaurants and specialty shops line the cobblestone French Quarter streets that lead to Jackson Square, the Old French Market and the River Walk where tourists and native New Orleanians stroll the levee and watch the steamboats and barges along the Mississippi River. At this New Orleans hotel you'll find history around every corner. This historic landmark is a member of Historic Hotels of America. The hotel boasts 25 meeting and reception rooms, 600 newly renovated rooms and suites, two award-winning restaurants, the famous Carousel Piano Bar & Lounge, Logo Shop, heated rooftop pool, Spa Aria, state-of-the-art exercise facility, business center, and valet parking. Top Notch Service and Care

Absolutely always recommend staying at Monteleone when we have clients or friends visiting. They take great care of anyone in the hotel, and of course, its closeness to the Quarter is nothing to sneeze at. Recommended to tourists, locals, and everyone!

Unlike most French Quarter hotels with long pedigrees, this property does not have a jumbled history of multiple owners and uses. The Monteleone has always been the Monteleone, although a recent $64 million renovation saw the installation…

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hunt Room Grill Restaurant Review

The Monteleone's Hunt Room Grill is just the spot for diners who abhor natural light (the low-slung dining room is windowless) and enjoy the intimacy of dark woods and clubby antique game prints in classic frames. The contemporary American food of chef Randy Buck includes a cream-free, Creole-style crab bisque, which exudes the essence of its main ingredient. Ditto the shrimp Bienville (lump...

This ornate watering hole couldn't be more aptly named: Every chair rotates at a glacial pace around the circular carnival-themed bar, making exactly four revolutions an hour. A subdued atmosphere, leering jester heads, and a star-speckled ceiling make it a suitably Dalí-esque place for a nightcap.

Open daily 11 am to 2 am.

People looking for a quiet break from the more boisterous Quarter bars can find it inside the historic Hotel Monteleone.

This is a great bar. Unique drinks and the bare spins slowly. Get the Fleur de Liz with elderflower liquor and gin and citrus. Very tasty and light. But do not expect the bar food to be good. It’s just ok. .
