I stayed here when a townhouse I was supposed to move into in San Francisco flaked on me in 9/05.
We had reservations at a suite, which was at a different building and top floor of their hotel, where
the Japanese Embassy used to be(? something like that.)
Anyhoo, the hallways reeked of morning breath, Eeeeeew in the mornings. Totally gross. Don't stay on that wing. Stay where the usual clientele stays, the "other" building.

This hotel is fine, except that it was kinda old and i think it could use some renovation. The toilet in my room had a bit of a hard time to flush, and made noise when i sat on it. I chose this hotel for the Japanese-looking decoration from the website photos, and i was a tad bit disappointed, as the room is pretty much Western-style, with a few Japanese art pieces. Would not recommend to any...
Unhappy staff. $50 extra fee to leave parking garage early. Outdated, worn decor and filthy carpets and bathroom. Front desk staff very unfriendly and rude.
