Editorial reviews from the web (3)

A beautifully restored, beloved landmark with plenty to offer tech-savvy travelers.

A $20-million renovation put this historic spot, built in 1926, back in the ranks of the city’s top hotels, especially for business travelers. The lobby was restored to its neo-Federalist splendor, with a gleaming green-and-black Tennessee marble floor and three copper-filigreed, lighted-glass panels above. The clubby Barclay Bar & Grill is perfect for an elegant gin and tonic during cocktail...

Neo-Federal style hotel for the contemporary business traveler. Midtown location equals convenient trips to classic sightseeting locales and easy escape routes to JFK or LGA. 24-hr business center, on-site meeting rooms (complete with audio-visual equipment) and a staff well versed in eight languages. Hit the Barclay Bar & Grill in the hotel lobby to wind-down during after-work hours.

A beloved landmark after a multi-million dollar facelift.

Great iconic hotel

This is a great hotel. Love the lobby area and bar. The rooms are a bit dated and could use some upgrading. The hotel really does need a club lounge for a nice quiet place to chill out other than the room.

This was my first stay in my, and they set the bar pretty high. The location was convenient to all points you'd be interested in. The hotel is nearly next door to the grand central station. The food trucks usually line the street over.

We've stayed here a few times. And now the hotel is under construction to become an even better place. We love the large entrance and the fact that its located in the center center center. The breakfast was amazing. The bagels were better than weve ever tasted. The rooms are not that big, but why would you need a big...

Beautiful Art Deco hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, spotless and no problem with room. Drinks and food a little expensive but we ate out everyday beginning in New York your not short of fabulous eating places. Very central to all the mainland marks.

Nothing much to say definitely it's worth it ? friendly and helpful stuff. We stayed there 2 years ago during super bowl in winter so it was really crowded. I would stay there again. After a long day in ny you need a comfortable bed to get ready for the next day. It's not that tall but 6th or 7th...
