I was at Hopetree as a patient for 2+ years. I loved it. The environment is calm, relaxing, and inviting. Making yourself a cup of tea while you wait for your appointment to start, sitting on the fluffy couch in the cozy living room instead of a stiff waiting area, are both pieces that make up what Hopetree is all about. Even though I only worked with one of their counselors, any time I saw the others they would smile, say hello. It is a place that I always felt comfortable and safe. The level of education is incredible; my counselor routinely went to new training sessions, conferences, etc. to keep up on the most current ways to help me (and obviously the other people she worked with). I was in counseling for an eating disorder, low self esteem, abuse of various forms, anxiety, self harm, and depression. I'm a COMPLETELY different person than I was when I walked into Hopetree three years ago. I literally thought I would never see a day where I wasn't depressed and wanting to hurt myself, and I've been living without those thoughts and feelings for quite some time now! I would recommend this place, and have, to anyone looking for help with any type of issue. They will have someone who will genuinely care about you as a person, who will want to see you thrive and grow and heal.
