The only thing Home Depot has going for it are low prices. Usually. The current trend in American business seems to be just to get the price down on everything, at the cost of quality, selection and customer service. I prefer shopping at my little local hardware store, but sometimes they don't have what I need, and when I have to go to Home Depot, and I am lucky enough to FIND an employee...

Yes...HD has everything you need to improve that new fixer-upper or even that old one. But with all the new locations with humongous parking lots, try to avoid this one at all costs. I've had to visit this location several times over the last few years, and have never had a positive experience with any of the staff. I like Home Depot. It's a one-stop shop for all kinds of fixins. They've got a lot of everything. So much of everything, that I can never find anything. I think I spend more time in Home Depot trying to find someone to ask where something is, than I do actually shopping and purchasing the merchandise. Its a crazy maze in there.
