Wins points for location near nightlife-heavy LES and shop-heavy Soho. Competent temporary crash site for dazed-looking Chinese businessmen and Bowery Ballroom-bound rockers on budget-conscious indie labels. Loses points for not having a pool like HI's midtown branch. Also, the rooms are tiny, and the concierge is stingy with his phone.
