It wouldn't take much for this to be an Excellent Hotel

Our daughter attends Pacific University and nice accommodations in Forest Grove are sparse and expensive for what they offer. We decided to try the Holiday Inn Express as it is a 20 minute drive to the school.
The pros:
1. Room is large---2 queen beds, sofa, microwave, and small refrigerator.
2. Room is clean.

Going downhill

I stayed here a year ago and it was very nice but this time the customer service had gone downhill. The first night I could not get these weird lights above the bed to go out. The front desk clerk did not want to do anything about it but finally came to help me. The second night the next door...

I visited on February 2016. It is a nice hotel, clean, There is a parking lot.
Neighborhood is nice and quiet.
The only issues I had are 1. Breakfast is basic.
2. The plates, cups, forks, spoons are all from plastic...even in the room.
With their room rate I think it should be replaced with better servings.
