The neon breakfast sign next to the neon Grolsch sign says pretty much everything you need to know about this place. This old-school divey diner has been around since 1979[EM]and it looks like it. Decent breakfast and lunch are available here, and the prices are in sharp contrast to Holiday's more fashionable neighbors. Other than S&S up the street, this is only one of the real diners... more

Holiday has the cheapest dinner menu I've seen at a sit down place, bar or restaurant. As well as a colorful group of regulars and good service.

I've been going to this place for years. This place is a cool little neighborhood bar and grill in the west loop. It's cozy, not trendy, and more Chicago than anything else. It's a laid back joint with good prices.. It definately cozy and the people there are great. It's a good place to hangout after work or meet up before going out. I've lived in the neighborhood for the last 3+ years and love the atmosphere over here. And, the food is great!!! It's been around forever which is a huge testament since I've seen so many restaurants come and go in the area. The people are very friendly and you really feel at home. The prices are very reasonable, as well.
