Send your tastebuds to the Northeast by devouring sandwiches popular in that part of the country. Hog Island offers a great Philly cheese steak, with melted cheese, shaved beef and grilled onions on a soft bun, and tasty hoagies featuring a variety of Italian cold cuts, such as mortadella and soppressata. Forks up. Cheap.

There's only one hoagie on the board that doesn't come in the 7" option: the 12" Tony Danza. The corned beef and pastrami at its core are imported from Philly and Italy. Went in the evening which is not a sweet spot for mainly lunch dining establishments such as this one. However, the Philly was great, and the Italian sandwich was also tasty. The Philly was not overly messy or greasy. Different choices of bread would be the only change I would make, but overall when it comes to quality ingredients and great sandwiches Hog Island has its act together.

I am from the East Coast and know good italian deli's, and this is not one. Beside the unwelcoming service, the hoagie was overpriced based on the amount of meat. I should have gone to the Thundercloud next door.
