The Bottom Line: With 357 guestrooms, this is the largest Hilton Garden Inn. Great views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline from upper floors. Guest Rooms and Rates: From $76.

We got a great deal from the website hotwire on this hotel (yeah, you don't find out the hotel til you book, but you can figure out where you need to be with hotwire's maps, fyi) I highly recommend that site when looking for a great deal on a hotel downtown!

This hotel is nice and clean and reasonably priced (for a downtown hotel). The staff are really pleasant--they are always helpful with maps, suggestions for local events and restaurants, and especially important (to me, anyway) shopping assistance! The hotel is only about a block and a half from the Northbridge Mall (awesome), and within three or four blocks of restaurants like Bucca di Beppo,...

Traveling with 15 and 11 year olds can be asking for trouble, but we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel right at the subway stop. Take the turn for the NE corner, up the steps and you are practically in the door! We were not sure what to expect, but we had a clean, quiet room and an attentive staff.
