Editorial reviews from the web (2)

Beachgoers and locals alike jam into this bar on the weekends for specialty cocktails, DJs spinning all day and night and unobstructed views of the Venice boardwalk below; while there's no happy hour, there is an inexpensive menu of 'munchies' like tacos and sliders.

No minors allowed despite request by e-mail

We came from Germany and wanted to enjoy the breathtaking sunset with our 15 year old son. I read before on the website that minors are not allowed. For this reason, I have written an extra e-mail to the hotel, if that would be alright,...

Lunch Time Bliss

Average Rating

While it can get very busy at sunset, the lunchtime is a blissful experience. Norma was super-attentive and made my day with her smile and service. The view can't be beat. The food is incredible for a rooftop bar. Actually for any place. The Impossible...

Great view, great waiter, terrible hostess

The view from High is lovely, the drinks were excellent and the waiter was very friendly. The hostess was extremely rude and drove away business on a very slow afternoon. The people seated near us were given a “30 minute warning” (there’s a time limit??)...

Rooftop bar

Public bar. Terrible views, you check in to the rooftop bar and have a little over an hour to sit and have to look at ghetto looking rooftops and strangers sitting 2 feet from your face. Disgusting experience. Needless to say, we left before finishing...

Best sunset

I did not stay at this hotel, only went to the rooftop bar. I would say it is a must for sunset drinks in Venice. We were only in LA for 1 week and managed to come here twice. Its lovely and not too pretentious...

Tips about this business (1)

Hotel Erwin’s rooftop cocktail bar serves handcrafted cocktails, artisan beers, wine and light appetizers in an open-air lounge setting with close to 360 degree views of Los Angeles, from Muscle Beach to Downtown L.A.That’s a far cry from the joint’s days as the Marina Pacific Hotel, when there was no access to this top of the hub. People-watching fans will feel like they have hit the jackpot, tourists will enjoy primo ocean and city vistas and no-fuss locals will appreciate the lack of a pretentious velvet rope situation.
