Hibiscus Restaurant Review

Many Henderson Avenue hot-spots have come and gone since Hibiscus opened back in 2005, but the crowds still flock to this staple nightly. Co-chefs Jason Ferraro and Graham Dodds continue to turn out the classics for which the restaurant is known, like massive bone-in steaks (choose from Wagyu or grass-fed varieties) and one of the best wedge salads in town, plus the must-have deep-dish mac ‘n’...

"In-the-know locals" head to this "upscale" Knox-Henderson eatery for "sophisticated" New American fare, including "fresh" seafood, and a "high-end" wine list, all served in a "California woody" space with a "hip" vibe; though some question the "price-to-reward ratio", most agree it's "top-notch in all respects."

Our server was a really sweet guy as well, but he was slammed with a 12 top right next to us. Understandable how that could slow down service, but someone should've stepped in to help him. We felt very forgotten for the majority of the dinner. When our server was at the table...

we've been many times and met friends for dinner sat night. Busy as always, our server was very good as was the food. -all expected. we probably won't be back until they make some changes. The noise level is ridiculously loud to the point where you can't carry on a comfortable conversation not to mention hear anything the server is saying. Add that with the tired, old decor - we're done. So...

With Graham Dodds in charge of the kitchen, the Henderson Avenue restaurant is better than ever. Dodds cooks with confidence, originality and a great palate; he’s not only one of the most talented Modern Texas cooks; he’s one of most interesting chefs in the city. The menu is very produce-forward, and the fish, poultry and meats are all superb. Desserts are fine, but not a strong suit. Full...
