Yes, Hewitt is a tad more expensive but the quality is worth it. Great plants, good variety. That said, help is hit or miss. ""Good"" employees are incredibly good. Others flounder unaware of product or gardening knowledge. Often a cheat sheet is consulted and you're told to go to Greenhouse X (unmarked). Speaking of unmarked, where are the plant tags? Perhaps a ost saver but If a flower has not bloomed it is near impossible to identify without a tag.

If you have some time, take a walk around Hewitt Garden Nursery. The plants are very nice and they have several varieties that aren't easy to find other places close-by. Plants here are little pricey but the knowlegeable staff will answer any questions about how to care for the plants you purchased. Helpful staff. High quality plants. Nice day out.

Bill Hewitt and his staff professional gardeners are a wealth of information for the Gardener looking for SUPERIOR quality SPECIMEN plants that one cannot find at the Big Box a/k/a “know-nothing” stores, or at re-wholesales nurseries such as John Deere Landscapes in Franklin that buy purely on the lowest price a/k/a "builder quality".

Employees have little or knowledge of plants, always on phone asking other employees. They must not want to sell anything because everything is over priced. Somethings as much as 3 times usual cost at other garden centers. Go to JOHN DEERE Landscapes on up the road.
