There is no better hotel on the Ala Wai side in my opinion. This is a fabulous stylish open hotel. I love the ocean view and the hotel doe not feel Waikiki becuase it is a little off the beaten path! It's expensive but worth it.

I was there last week for about 4 nights, the hotel was very nice, great location with nice view, nice gift shop if u forget to buy something in the downtown, not expensive,

The Hawaii Prince Hotel in Honolulu is an incredibly comfortable and relaxing hotel with friendly staff and beautiful views. The only downside I could note is that it is not a convenient stay for those without a car, interested in Waikiki. However, they do have a shuttle around Waikiki for those hoofing it.
