"Good-humored" servers pass "pitchers of mojitos" and "substantial" portions of appealing Cuban comfort chow at this "festive" West Villager; "live music", "reasonable" rates and a "lovely rear garden" keep things "bustling" here, so be prepared for "noise" and "chair-bumping."
Set in a long, narrow space in the West Village, Havana Alma de Cuba boasts colorful murals and live (and fortunately not-so-loud) music. Really enjoyed this place, even though i have no idea what Cuban food should taste like to give it the “authentic” thumbs up. What does it matter though? Our food was DELICIOUS, our waiter so natural and fun and the atmosphere lively. Prices good too....

We decided to try this restaurant because it wasn't far from where we were staying. We had an enjoyable meal and some cocktails, but Saul's performance (singing and guitar) really made our night!
Arrived at Havana to this song - already seemed like a fun place. Enjoyed the dim lights, easy and causal feel. Service was very good.
Plenty to find on the menu. We had shrimp in garlic, paella, salmon. All were prepared well.
Only complaint.. and...
The waitress are nice guys and very helpful, the place has salsa music witch is very nice and caribbean, the food is delicious, tasty and have the typical Cuban flavor, the paella has few calamari but is delicious, even that I waited a bigger plate...
