HASR Bistor has a cute, if tiny courtyard with a few al fresco tables set up in the sunshine. It's next door to a wine shop. But the menu of Californian / Mediterranean / New American fare is going to appeal more to locals than mainland or international visitors, and it's not cheap either. Although a little pricy, HASR Bistro definitely has good eats. The food is especially worthwhile if you make it for their happy hour!
A medley menu of french, tapas, local cuisine, burgers, and seafood; it actually works well. They have a nice area for outdoor seating, and live music at dinner. Rich, tasty sauces, fresh seafood, large portions, and friendly service.
For the upscale look that HASR Bistro went for, I was expecting good things. Unfortunately, the service fell kind of flat and in the midst of cold weather, it made for a mediocre to bland experience.
