Hanks started in Houston and has since moved to Atlanta. It is by far the best ice cream that I have ever tasted. I did not even eat ice cream before I tasted Hank's. But after one bite I was definately hooked on Hanks. They have many unique home-made flavors, and the service is friendly and the environment is inviting and nostalgic. Went here after a picnic in Grant Park. Hanks has the most imaginative ice cream flavors...a better variety than the other chains like coldstone, marble slab, or mary moos.

This is the best ice cream in Atlanta. There is a great selection of standard flavors (vanilla, chocolate) and many exotic ones--rose petal is my favorite. On one occassion when I visited and they did not have the flavor I wanted, they wrote it down and told me when I could come back for it--just a day or so later.
