Business Description from the Web
This 182-unit resort has an intimate, low-key vibe, and the views of the legendary Bali Hai peaks are just as breathtaking. The rooms have large lanais, kitchenettes, island-style fabrics, and rattan furniture, reflecting the casual, come-as-you-are attitude. An ongoing renovation project has been completed in some rooms: Ask for one of those for new—but still tropical—furnishings and a...

Few places are as romantic as Kauai—and few hotels cater to romantics to the extent that this one does. Weddings can be seen almost any day, and the hotel is full of honeymooners, folks on anniversary or vacationing lovebirds. Of course, people who are not in the middle of a great romance can also appreciate this gracious hotel and its gorgeous beach front setting. A myriad of entertainment...

The resort is built into a steep hillside and offers dense tropical landscaping, stunning ocean views and eight tennis courts. It has one of the nicest swimming pools on the...

Not very good... Run down, looked like it might have been a great place in the 70's early 80's. Wait staff was not good. Food was just OK.
Pros
+ None really
Cons
- Everything was below average or just average.

We had dinner here during our recent visit expecting a Princeville-equivalent, but found it anything but. The hotel is tired and old, and the restaurant is the same. There is a great view if you get a table by the railing (we had to ask), but that is the only thing to recommend the place. Food was OK at best, prices were very high, and service was both sloppy and inattentive even by Hawaii...

First off, the resort is almost impossible to find at night if you don't have detailed turn-by-turn directions. I found that out the hard way when my partner and I arrived on the island of Kauai after 8pm. Also, make sure you know where your windshield wiper switch is when you rent your car. It began to pour sheets of...
