Hairdressers positively refuse to do your hair as you ask. I went in with shoulder length in the back, asked for a perm that would cover my ears and not to cut my hair short. Immediately Winnie gave me a perm, then started cutting and wouldn't stop. She burned me several times with the hair dryer although I yelled ouch.
And I said repeatedly, ""Stop, you're cutting it too short."" But she kept right on cutting as she babbled in Chinese to her assistant. I told her I was furious, she was ruining my hair before I go on a luxury...

If you have plenty of time and not too particular of an idea of what you want, this place is nice.
I called and stopped in several places on a Saturday afternoon to see if I could get a color & cut, but this is the only place that would do the coloring without an appointment.
The guy was extremely thorough dying my roots and the rest of my head, and it took a long time. He then didn't understand that I wanted it cut also and had to re-explain it to him.
He didn't seem to speak English very well, but I got the idea across. In the end, it took 2 1/2 hours to color and cut and blowdry my...

The other day I had an appointment with one of their hair stylists ""Michael"". I told him that I wanted my hair a little shorter but that I did NOT want short hair. Guess what, he whacked it all off and then charged me $40 for it (man's cut). Now I am stuck with a cut that I do not like and when I try to call the manager, the manager is ""not there.""
BTW, all the names the hair stylists use there are fake. His real name is DONG, WEI...
