Editorial reviews from the web (1)

A humming, beating, vibrating, music mega store.

In Short
Just as the electric guitar started gaining popularity in the '60s, so did this once-modest, now monumental music store chain, which has grown to become the country's largest...

Editorial review from Citysearch

Travis is the most obnoxious salesperson one would ever meet, and the fact this store hired such a clueless douchebag, who pretends to know about music gear and music, reflects very poorly on the management of this store.

Uppity

I went here to find a case for my ukulele. The guy barely acknowledged my presence, then said, ""No, I'm out of cases....."" Then he simply turned away from us. Did not ask what else he could help me with, did not say he could order one for me and have it brought in. ...NOTHING. In fact, I thought he was going to say something else, but after turning away from me, he simply walked out of the ukulele room and left my husband and I there w/o nary another word. What poor service!!! Rude! Will I go back? Nope. There are many other nice shops that offer guitar service and products. I luckily...

Walmart of Guitars - good and bad

Yep, it?s the Walmart of guitars! I?ve been there several times and talked to several of the staff before ? some of them made my soul hurt, but at least one of them was helpful. The key is to know what you want before you go in there! It?s just like going to a Best Buy or any big box store, do your research beforehand and TELL them what you want, don?t ask their opinion. Don?t buy an $800 guitar if you?re just starting out. Don?t pay $40 for a chromatic tuner when you know that the $15 one will be fine. Know your guitars, know your strings/amps/accessories before you go in and you?ll...

This place is hit or miss when it comes to customer service satisfaction. More than half the time I have a hard time finding help. Other times the store doesn't have what I need. The prices are a bit overpriced and the employees are like…

Tips about this business (2)

Look Good: Feel free to plug in any of the store's guitars and take them for a test drive. Just don't play "Stairway" or you'll look like a newbie.
