I took a group of friends down to Grill 83 last week after having heard they had a new chef from Memphis. My wife and dine out downtown about once a week, and have eaten at just about every restaurant in town. In the past our experiences there have been good, but nothing that stood out to make us go back very often.

First I must say that I am very picky about restaurants having been raised by a family in the business of find dining. I have been here repeatedly and I can say that their steak (especially the Kansas City bone in and the Cowboy Ribeye) are amazing. Most places put so much sauce on the steaks that you can't tell the quality of the meat, but not Grill 83. Grill 83 marinates the steaks just right... more

Reservations were made 12 days earlier for 7:30. We were saying at the Madison. Their first mastake was sitting four women at the worse table by the door. While there were 3 other tables available we were told they were not available. We had specifically requested a quiet table when reservations were made.
