Big Pancakes, Long Wait
The Griddle Cafe is a scene. As the name suggests, pancakes in particular and breakfast in general is the specialty. It's been open a few years so the service and food are generally good. Although the majority of its patrons are hip Sunset Strippers trying to look cool while they spill out into the street on tables in front of Rite Aid, there are a few families. If you get there early enough, the Griddle is a lot of fun for kids. The menu has a wide variety of pancakes, sausage and other breakfast food. The major drawback to the good food is that the mob of people sometimes makes it difficult to park. The lot behind Rite Aid is shared with the Griddle, so there is not a lot of space after breakfast starts.
