Greenwell Farms Inc

The Greenwell family played a significant role in the cultivation of the first commercial coffee in the Kona area. Depending on the season, the 20-minute walking tour of this working farm takes in various stages of coffee production, including a look at the 100-year-old coffee trees. Sample a cup of their famous Kona coffee at the end; the gift shop stays open until 5.

Greenwell Farms is another family-run coffee farm, offering free tastings and very informative tours. The property is beautiful and the tour guides are very friendly. It's not a long stop, so give it a try when you're heading south from Kona.

Awesome place. We went on a tour because our oldest son loves coffee. We learned so much about the farm and its founder but also about the history of Kona coffee and the plants and vegetation on the island as well as the health benefits of coffee and the many uses for the bean and the skin it's in.
