Great deli and wine store. Open every day. Great turkey pastrami sandwiches. They serve a formidable selection of wines by the glass.

Oustanding Deli

Greenblatts is one of the oldest Los Angeles classic restaurants. It is a great deli, easily the rival of something that you might find in New York City. There is a huge selection of sandwiches, wine, spirits and dessert. Greenblats has both delivery and carryout. It's open late into the night and early in the morning. In an emergency, you can do Thanksgiving or a BBQ for Independence Day, Memorial Day or Labor Day in 15 minutes...I have.

With so many choices, you may not be able to limit yourself to one. Try a Dr. Brown's soda, an egg cream, or one of the wine list's hand-selected California reds.

Kugel, a house specialty, is a dense, towering block of egg noodles, cream cheese, cinnamon and raisins. The traditional deli-sandwich menu boasts endless combos, but of... more

Terrible staff!!!

2 different and equally awful experiences being ignored while waiting for service. Atmosphere is cramped (restaurant is very narrow!) so it isn't as though waiting for service is even enjoyable in that setting. Miserable!

Also: Expensive. No fries.

I suggest Canter's nearby on Fairfax - the food is much much better. We also love Factors Deli on Pico, as they are very... more

I actually tried a Greenblatt's corned beef sandwich once and liked it. Problem is, I can't ever get the one I liked again. I don't like hot sandwiches, so I keep asking them if it's possible to get a cold corned beef, and they keep telling me they can't do that. It's pretty easy. Just don't cook it! They serve chicken salad sandwiches. Do the same thing, only replace the chicken salad... more
