I brought my payment to them and they were supposed to forward it to the finance company. I hear about a lot of dealers doing this.  They just keep the money you paid for gap insurance and hope for the best.  For the purposes of this response, I'm assuming that the car was totalled and now you owe the lender the difference between what was paid by insurance, and what you still owed on the car.  If I were in your shoes, I'd head for the local small claims court and file against the...
