The Grand Opera House is a great venue in downtown Macon. I've been there many times for various performances and plays. It has a fairly large seating area but has a excellent intimate feel which only the older theaters do. The stage isn't really large but adequate for most productions.

If you are going for an evening play, expect to pay for it! They think highly of their theatre. Although all the plays we have been to have been great. We really enjoy the GrandKids series that they have available to the kids during the school year. We homeschool and this has been a great addition to our school year....
