Downtown McKinney, TX is a nice place to feel like you have "gotten away" from the city or suburbs of the Dallas area. The Grand Hotel is just off the square, and offers very big rooms which are nicely appointed. Rick's Steakhouse is on premises, and has a rather loud bar, so check your room location if you are sensitive...

Great hotel in downtown

Free valet parking, comfortable bed, band on Friday and Saturday night and the hamburger in the bar is great. The place really fills up and the locals who visit are very friendly. I think this hotel is a must.
I attend a reception at this hotel and the food served was great and the service was outstanding.

I had a reservation for the Grand Hotel for Jan. 22 and Jan.23. Due to a circumstance, I called and spoke with a representative and cancelled the night of the 22. She was very nice and said that all was taken care of. I was sent an email confirmation for the night of the 23rd and check-out of Jan. 24....
