Culinarily adventurous, well-to-do folk crowd this Beverly Blvd. fine dining loungerestaurant. Executive Chef Neal Frasier uses his well-celebrated talents to create New American cuisine in a beautifully elegant setting, and the seasonal menu is highlighted by a tasting menu that changes weekly. But posh isnt necessarily prissy at Grace Restaurantthree words: Doughnut Shoppe Wednesdays.

The Scene A study in warm brown and green earth tones, lounge and restaurant alike are tastefully stylish and buzz with the din of industry braggadocio, gossiping girlfriends and couples flirting in not-so-quiet voices. Clean lines, minimalist décor and true blue American fare with tude. Pork rib and wild boar are delicious games to play, though deadly for the pig. Sunday night it's classy burgers with truffle cheese. Wednesday night it's 'Donut Shoppe' with an exclusive dessert menu of gourmet doughnuts, fresh fruits and ice creams. Trendy and essential. Sea urchin and pumpkin risotto grace the bold and... more

Grace represents neighborhood dining at its most elegant. The bistro-chic décor (an odd urban mix of earthy colors, Japanese design and ’70s retro shapes) sets the pace for a warm experience. Chef-partner Neal Fraser, an Iron Chef victor who formerly ran the kitchens at Boxer and Jimmy's, has collaborated with three other restaurant veterans on this project. Whether you love or dislike the... more

This is a San Francisco restaurant in Los Angeles. The sommelier is knowledgeable and accessible, the servers are attentive, not intrusive, know the menu and wine, the ambiance is intimate, the food is delicious, the menu is diverse and the restaurant is not at all sceney. For special occasions, nothing in Los Angeles beats Grace.

I have for years resigned to believe that you will either get amazing food or amazing decor from restaurants in Los Angeles. Much to my delight and chagrin, Grace has proved me wrong. OK, well, the decor is not groundbreaking (the lighting is perfect though, not too dark and not too over the top), and for that matter perhaps neither is the food. They both are however, very thoughtful and... more

the service was lovely at grace. the food, however, was mediocre at best. perhaps i am jaded. it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great.

we started off with the dungeness crab salad. normally, this was served as a part of the tasting menu. we asked if we could get it a la carte. apparently, we asked nicely because they did let us order it. the crab was fresh, good and not drenched in mayo. i think... more
