A whole lot of meh, with a large side of blah... I'm a bit disappointed to say the least. It's my first time here and I used this place to introduce family to the Italian Beef sandwich and the Chicago-Style Char Dog. I'm not a rookie with these city staples and I regret showing them this. Even the Coke in the cooler was past its best before date (by two months)!!!There's better out there.

We were by the "Big Bean" and had to ask where to get the Best Authentic Chicago dog! They said about a 15 min walk however Gold Coast was their 2nd choice and only a few blocks away. No thrills walk up but it was good, quick and sitting watching everyone was entertaining in its self. We would return if...

Gold Coast does the Chicago dog well. We needed to indoctrinate our son into the Chi dog and this was the place to do it. Don't eat too many.
