It's best to have the card mailed to you. The website is not clear on options. If you don't choose to pay the shipping you automatically have to pick up your card at a specified location. The subway price will be the same as what you would have paid in shipping. It cost $12.00 for all of us to ride the subway, so we didn't save anything picking it up ourselves. 1. The design of the card is flawed. If you loose it, it cannot be deactivated, therefore the company cannot replace it. They get your money, but you cannot get yours back. BEWARE. I finally found their warning about lost cards in the back of their book -which you get after you bought and picked-up your cards. By the way, it cost me $6 to go pick up the cards -there went my discount.
I'm not typically into sightseeing. I've been in Boston for more than 10+ years and am happy to spend time sitting in the Public Garden or exploring different neighborhoods - in other words, I like FREE entertainment. But my parents were coming into town for a few days and they wanted to be tourists, so I found out about these cards online and bought them.
