After paying for a new water pump and a 3.5 hour installation rate of $104+ per hour, three days later my trusted mechanic in Denver discovered that the pump had not been replaced. The original pump was left on the car, it continued to malfunction on my return trip to Denver which caused considerable concern about the engine as well as safely making the trip home.
