I found this company by simply doing a search online, and called based only on the good reviews. Boy, am I glad I did!

I called Glassco on the strength of the prior reviews. The owner is every bit as friendly and accommodating as the reviews suggest. He quoted me a great price ($225) to replace my cracked windshield (the result, I must confess, of a temper tantrum when my battery died for the third time in 2 weeks!) and was able to schedule the job right away. Living in SF, it's likely your car window will be broken. Went out to the car at 1pm, noticed the window was smashed, looked up auto glass on city search, found these guys, by 3:30 pm, my ford escape had a brand new window. Only cost 150$. Excellent service and attitude.
