I tried to schedule an appt to become a new client and the staff refused to do so until I gave my social security number. I have insurance and money and want a good dentist. Whats' the issue with being treated like this?

It was very informative, a little wordy,but wanted a dentist that was trained on the latest techniques.I broke my tooth and called his office up and spoke with a very pleasant girl named charlotte.
