I love this place so much! I try to eat here at least once a week, I'm a huge fan of the grilled cheese. All the workers... know my name and my order. Great local eatery. Their burgers are quite good and the Manske rolls are outstanding.
They were grossly understaffed. I bought a rootbeer float with our $70+ meal. I was handed a cup of ice cream and pointe...d towards the soda machine. When I tried adding the rootbeer, nothing but clear soda came out. (No big deal... the syrup ran out... they will give me new ice cream and replace the syrup so I can make my float) NOPE!!! have been watching the piece on Gils Broiler on Texas Country Reporter for several months. My mouth waters as I watch. In two weeks I will be driving to San Marcos, Tx. and my soul goal is to stop and eat a burger and as many Manske Rolls as I can devour. Of course I will take enough of them to share with my family in Austin and possible stop there again on the way home to Corpus.
