Contrary to popular belief, there is no German food at Germantown Café, a notable north Nashville neighborhood bistro. In a lucky space a few streets behind downtown, the windows offer an expansive and illuminated nighttime view of the Capitol building, contrasting nicely with the intimate setting within. My wife and I enjoyed a great date night in historic Germantown. Germantown Cafe was a great place to start the night before taking a quick drive downtown. The food first and foremost was the highlight. I got the Mahi Special with an excellent balsamic glaze and my wife (a vegetarian) got the Green Plate.
