One of the first places that we tried when we moved to the loft district on Washington Avenue, was the Gelateria on the corner of Wa Ave and 14th street. I have walked past The Gelateria many times, but never considered going in mainly because I was not in the mood for sweets. I used to live downtown and walking here on a hot summer night was one of my favorite things to do. In addition to the delicious gelato (there's usually about a dozen and a half flavors... ALL very good), they serve pastries and have a barista. A great little place to go for a sweet treat. The staff is very friendly and lets you taste test as many kinds as you like.
