Before we scheduled an appointment, I told Mr. Gabler I was on a budget and wondered if he could give me a general idea of the cost of landscape design. He told me it would vary, but said if the job were not too large, he might write a plan on the spot and charge me fifty dollars. At the scheduled appointment, that is exactly what he did. He then told me he would finalize the plans and call with an estimate. When I called the office two weeks later, the lady who answered the phone said she ""would try to get him to call."" Mr. Gabler sketched some preliminary plans for my yard and said he would call with an estimate, but two weeks passed without a word. When I called to ask about the delay, the lady who took the message said she "would try to get him to call you back." I live in a modest house, mentioned a budget, and said I was considering doing the work in stages. I have no doubt Mr. Gabler's rudeness...
