The farmers market is a great place to pick up fresh food. It's open two or three days during the week, but I've only ever gone on a Saturday. Get there early, because the traffic and parking can be a problem. I usually park a few blocks away and walk to the entrance. Make sure to bring a basket to hold all your purchases. The farmers market has been around as long as I remember. I went there 40 years ago with my Mom and Grandma. There are still many of the same vendors. The market has really progressed. the Fulton Street Farmer's Market is just wonderful. You can get fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers. What better than supporting local farmers?
