East Hampton's Fresno is unlike any other Hamptons restaurant mainstay. Think European sensibilities: more Provence than New York, more old world than traditional, more food, and more wine. The atmosphere is relaxed, neighborhood vibe. All are welcome to feel like they're somewhere else for just a few hours...

From OpenTable: Veteran restaurateurs David Loewenberg and Michael Nolan teamed up to open Fresno in the spring of 2004. The New American menu emphasizes simple yet sophisticated preparations of local fare.Located on the edge of the village of East Hampton, the space is an airy, sky lit room featuring a wall of French doors overlooking a landscaped patio with a fountain where one may enjoy...

Fresno Restaurant Review

Tucked discreetly near the train station, seemingly light years away but really only a mere mile from the chic vibe of downtown East Hampton, Fresno specializes in simple, homey fare with a “European sensibility.” Co-owned by David Loewenberg (Red Bar in Southampton and Beacon in Sag Harbor), the chalet-like structure offers a welcoming outdoor patio. It’s bright and cozy at the same time, filled with a less agro crowd than some of its Newtown Lane counterparts and boasts a pretty little garden. The straight...

The good: food was good, brussel sprout and butternut squash salad was delicious. We went on Valentine's day for dinner and they were playing club music pretty loudly. Totally inappropriate. The service was lousy. We kept looking around to find out waitress and there were only 4 tables seated! When I asked what she could substitute for french fries she said mashed potatoes. I asked if there was...

We made a reservation for Valentine's night...... 6:00.. supposedly there was nothing available for 6:30........... not so! We had a drink at the bar first, after waiting in the cold for them to open the doors. They seemed ill prepared for a big dining night. Whether a martini or a glass of wine, drinks were skimpy. Food had much too much salt.................. but service was excellent.

Fresno is one of my favorite spots in East Hampton. The food and service are terrific! Love that they offer a prix fixe for diners before 6:32. Great spot! Highly recommend it!
