This used to be one of our favorites, but it recently closed, apparently permanently. It was often nearly empty at diner, despite the wide buffet choice that included many salads, as well a pizza, so we were not surprised at the closure.

After shopping at Bayfair plaza, we (a couple) had a chance to visit Fresh Choice/California Fresh restaurant.

Clean, good salads, and I liked how they had everything labeled with ingredients. I'm eating dairy and gluten free lately, so it was easy to find a salad and a soup that I could eat. Yay Fresh Choice!!!

This self-serve restaurant is known for its extensive salad bar. Also available are assorted entrees, soups, desserts and beverages. The business is located in the newly remodeled Bay Fair Center shopping mall in San Leandro's Ashland district.
