Fremont Street Experience

Fantastic Light Shows at Night-time

Review Rating
Starting when the sun goes down, the overhead screen scanning from Main Street to Las Vegas Blvd, has a wonderful light show with music. All of the local casinos turn off their entrance lights for you to enjoy the light show which lasts about 10-15 minutes & and starts every hour on the hour.

$1 Margaritas with or without alcohol.

During the warm months there are free concerts on 1st, 2nd & 3rd street.

Freemont Street, part of old Vegas is a neat spot to visit. The show on the ceiling is really cool. The last time we went down to Freemont Street they were filming CSI Las Vegas there so we got to watch. The shops are a little tacky, normal tourist stuff. This definetly a place you have to see when in Vegas.

I watched 2 or 3 of the light shows and it is an amazing display. It makes a very pleasant evening - watch a couple of the musical shows, take in a nice buffet, watch another show or two. Much more relaxed than the busy strip atmosphere - more 'down-home'. Stroll through a couple of the stores and pick up some trinkets for those at home. Not a must-do on every trip but a must-do at least once!

..and a great place to get affordable water. It's definitely not for those looking for that ultra-lounge experience, as on the strip. pleanty of eatiereies, coolrelics of vegas' past, and the friggin Golden nugget is there for Pete's sake. Check it out, then continue down fremont to the Beauty Bar for a stiff drink. Hopefully there'll be a cool band out back.
